Jay originally from Sacramento, graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara, in 1985 & relocated to Los Angeles where he started his 30+ year photography career working for notable photographers such as Peggy Sirota, Pete Turner, Jay Silverman, Dominick Guillemot, David Hanover, Marshal Safron, etc. Jay’s career took off in 1987 through 2007 working exclusively for Sirota as a camera assistant, then ultimately becoming her photo producer and studio manager. In 1997 Jay Foster launched 46 Pictures which provided the highest quality photo-production services and in 2012, 46 Pictures represented and managed photographers who shot in both stills and motion; Michael Khachadoorian, Michael Alan Ross, John Huba, Kevin Michael Schmitz, Jen Rosenstein, Chris Stanford, Lou D’Angelo, Jamie Williams, Charles Imstepf, Mike Miller, Mark Anderson, Rick Chapman, Jeremy Goldberg, and David Prince. Other notable work experience includes from 2008 to 2012, Jay worked at Prettybird Pictures as Head of Print & Post Production Supervisor. Jay's vast experience and versatility in photography representation and production management are invaluable assets to photographers and clients. Jay is a sports enthusiast and a father of 5 (if you’re keeping score 3 boys and 2 girls).
